Finally Home, a national non-profit 501(c)3, has been training and encouraging foster, adoptive, and kinship families since 2008. Finally Home was created to equip and encourage families as they provide a safe and loving home where wounded children can heal.
The leadership team of FH believes that genuine faith in Jesus Christ is to care for those without families (James 1:27). Many families have stepped up to this calling, and they need support and encouragement. Even with the best of intentions, families can experience severe discouragement in the face of children’s behaviors that go far beyond their expertise or expectations. A family in crisis will often feel isolated in the midst of their suffering. It is our mission ensure all foster, kinship, and adoptive families have access to post-placement education, training, support and community.
What We Do
Our primary program is FH’s Family Strengthening Event, where the whole family is refreshed. While the kids and youth have a blast at the Super Hero Academy and Teen Titans program, parents are reminded of what it takes to be a healthy family. In a healthy family, the couple is the strongest link, adults care for themselves, children learn to be somebody and to belong and parents are both leaders and models.

From the Director
For my husband and me, building a family has taken a variety of unexpected turns leading us down an always adventurous and many times very challenging path.
Our personal experience and a growing passion have led us to continue our journey by serving other foster/adoptive and kinship families through Finally Home.
It is our privilege to provide practical support, training and encouragement to these special families so they can finish the great work they’ve started in welcoming a hurting child home.
Mark and Kristin Orphan have been married for 23 years and live with their four children in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Kristin is a gifted musician and story teller. She spent 15 years in church ministry and leadership in Southern California. To read Kristin’s devotions click here.
Currently, she makes herself available to share her music and tell their family story in various settings in order to encourage others. She confirms that God alone can take our experiences, sorrow and joy and turn them into hope, passion and purpose.
Whether talking to a small group or before a large audience performing with her band, Kristin is sincere and engaging as she shares from her heart the depth of what God has brought her through.
